The second day of the Taif Rose Festival “Qetaf 19” saw an incredible turnout, with the main entrance and flower pathways at Al Radif Park bustling with visitors from Taif, tourists from all over, and nearby provinces.
Volunteers pitched in to support the municipality and the Cooperative Association of Taif Roses, ensuring everything was well-organized. Families and visitors were directed to the festival’s attractions and activities for a good time.
Exhibitors were thrilled with the large number of visitors, expecting it to boost revenues for rose cultivation and production. This sector, receiving attention from the government, is backed by Prince Saud bin Nihari bin Saud, the governor of Taif, who sponsors this annual carnival.
Patrols managed traffic around the park smoothly, guiding vehicles to available parking spaces and keeping traffic flowing. The festival runs for 12 days to accommodate everyone who wants to enjoy its programs.
The Secretary of Taif, Eng. Abdullah bin Khamees Al Zaidi, personally checked the municipality’s efforts and encouraged all teams to work together for the visitors’ comfort. He stressed the importance of coordination with all stakeholders.
Everyone was urged to put in extra effort to make the festival a big success, surpassing expectations. The municipality made sure all areas of the park were ready for the influx of visitors.
The festival featured various attractions, including the largest flower carpet ever laid by the municipality. Interactive fountain shows and pedestrian crossings were organized to ensure everyone’s safety.
Artistic displays and the hard work of volunteers were appreciated by visitors. Smooth flow throughout the park was ensured, with entrances and exits prepared to avoid overcrowding.
