This announcement coincided with the introduction of a strategic alliance between the Gates Foundation and the Mohammed Bin Salman Foundation (Misk), with the goal of enriching youth involvement in the non-profit sector.
The collaboration was disclosed at the World Economic Forum Special Meeting in Riyadh.
The newly established regional office will act as a central hub for the Gates Foundation’s operations throughout the area, bolstering its capacity to assist and cultivate initiatives in fields such as education, healthcare, and technology.
This initiative forms part of a broader agreement inked by Misk CEO Dr. Badr Al Badr and Joe Cerrell, managing director of the Gates Foundation for Europe, Middle East, and East Asia, which also seeks to empower Saudi youth and foster an enabling environment for impactful global outcomes.
The partnership commits to harnessing the resources and expertise of both organizations to offer substantial empowerment opportunities for youth and to launch collaborative global initiatives.
By merging their efforts, Misk and the Gates Foundation aspire to establish a vibrant platform for resource exchange, training opportunities, and program advancement within the state-of-the-art facilities of Mohammed Bin Salman Non-Profit City.
