The WTT Grand Smash is the premier professional table tennis tournament organized by the World Table Tennis (WTT). This year, it’s being held in Saudi Arabia under the name Saudi Smash. Scheduled from May 4th to May 11th, 2024, the event is taking place at the King Abdullah Sports City, marking the first time a professional table tennis tournament is held in the Kingdom.

Elite players from all over the world have gathered in Jeddah, a coastal city on the Red Sea, to compete in this exciting event. The Saudi Smash combines the precision and skill of the world’s top table tennis players with the dynamic and entertaining atmosphere of a WTT Grand Smash, which is the highest level of competition within the WTT event structure.

The introduction of Saudi Smash follows in the footsteps of other prestigious events hosted in Jeddah, such as Formula 1, the FIFA Club World Cup, ATP Next Gen Tennis, America’s Cup Sailing Preliminary Regatta, and world heavyweight boxing.

HRH Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, Minister of Sport and President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, expressed his pride in adding Saudi Smash to the list of international championships hosted in Saudi Arabia.

Throughout the tournament, there has been intense competition and thrilling matches, captivating both players and spectators alike.
